A professional lifecycle celebrant specializing in weddings, I received my training through the Celebrant Foundation and Institute where I learned the art of ritual and ceremony.
AWARD-WINNING WRITER & EDUCATOR
Over the past twenty years I’ve published various works including newspaper and magazine columns, profiles, lifestyle, feature and medical articles, and fictional work. My creative non-fiction has been nationally recognized.
A former teacher, I can corral your crowd and keep them glued to their seats.
MODERN MINISTER
I'm ordained by the Canadian International Metaphysical Ministry. This accredited organization focuses on the divine aspects of life including health, happiness, peace spirituality, and love.
This means I am privileged to legally marry people in the province of British Columbia.
Victoria born and currently based, I'm open to traveling Vancouver Island and to the Okanagan Valley, where I raised my family.
TOTAL ROMANTIC
I"m a romantic at heart. My best friend Paul and I have been married for nearly three decades. We’ve raised a son and daughter and two dogs.
I love weddings and I’ll never forget the magic of my own. Other than the hideous blue and green floral cake, I wouldn’t change a thing.

CAKE BAKER & WINE DRINKER
Food is love, right?
Sipping and savouring in the company of family and friends is one of my greatest joys. And I love to bake, especially cakes.
I forget about the world (or an impending deadline...procrastibaking, anyone?) with a little measuring and mixing and the buttery-rich scent of something bubbling in the oven...pure delight.
WELLNESS SEEKER
Fitness in any fresh-air form, especially running, walking, hiking; the gym and yoga; journaling and meditation; laughter...nourishing health of the mind, body, and spirit is part of my daily round.
CURIOUS TRAVELER
I am an adventurer, passionate about new places and experiences. Five of my favourite years were spent working and traveling in the the Middle East with my family.
BOOK LOVER
In the words of Stephen King, "Books are uniquely portable magic" and since I believe in enchantment, I like to carry them around. And I have plenty of stained and crumpled covers to prove it.

Perhaps you’ve been collecting images and ideas for years and know exactly what you want; You’ve written your own vows, selected readings, chosen rituals. Or maybe you don’t know where to start—no problem. I have plenty of ideas and resources to guide the process.
How much customization you want is up to you; either way, you’ll have final approval over your ceremonial script. No surprises on your big day. Relax and know you’re in good hands. I’ll make this part of your wedding planning easy and fun.
